Returns & Refunds
The short version
Unworn, within 14 days of delivery, return postage at your cost. If the fault is ours, we cover everything.
What can be returned
Sarees that are **unworn, unwashed, unaltered and in their original wrap**, within **14 days** of the delivery date.
Silk shows handling. A saree that has been draped, pinned, pressed or had a fall or blouse stitched to it cannot go back, because we cannot sell it again.
How to start a return
Open your order — through **My Orders** if you have an account, or the guest lookup in the footer — and use the return request form. Tell us which piece and why. We reply with the return address in Tamil Nadu.
Please do not post anything back before we have replied. Parcels sent to an unannounced address routinely go missing.
Who pays
**If you changed your mind**, return postage to India is at your cost, and we recommend a tracked service. The original $15 shipping is not refunded.
**If the fault is ours** — the saree arrived damaged, or is materially not what the listing described — we pay return postage and refund in full, including the original shipping. Send a photograph with your request and we will sort it without arguing about it.
Refunds
Once the return reaches our supplier and has been checked, we refund to the original payment method. Card and PayPal refunds usually appear within five to ten business days, depending on your bank.
Customs duty you paid on import is not ours to refund. You may be able to reclaim it from US Customs directly.
What is not a defect
Every saree is a handloom or powerloom textile from a small workshop. Slubs, small irregularities in the weave, minor variation in length, and slight color differences between the photograph and the cloth are characteristics of the material, not faults.
We photograph nothing ourselves and we do not retouch our supplier's photographs, but no screen renders silk exactly.
Damaged in transit
Tell us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the parcel and the saree. We will replace or refund.
