Every listing says plainly what the zari is — including the ones where there is none — and where our supplier's photograph is sharp enough, you can zoom all the way into the border and judge it yourself.

What we will not tell you
That we know more about the zari than we do. Our supplier records each saree's zari as gold or as silver, or records none at all, and our listing repeats exactly that and nothing more. Pure zari — the silver-gilt thread that makes an heirloom saree cost what it does — is not something we can verify from here, so we will not claim it in either direction. What we can tell you is which pieces have no metallic thread at all, and we do.
We also do not sell bridal. These are sarees for the wedding you are attending, and for Diwali, Pongal and the evenings in between. If you want an heirloom Kanchipuram, you want a different shop and about four times the budget.
And the photographs are our supplier's, taken by them and used with their permission — not our own studio work. Some are big enough to zoom into the weave. Some are not, and on those we simply do not offer the zoom rather than dress up a small picture.
